Paul Boutin wrote in “11 things I didn’t know about app development”, Most app discovery comes from viral word of mouth among customers, not from people searching app stores for something to download. I don’t know what it’s so much of a revelation to developers. The App Store is a warehouse of digital goods, a [...]

I can’t believe MMS is hot again. With the iPhone 3.0 software update, everyone is talking about it and can’t wait to try it. MMS has been around for more that 7 years but so badly implemented into devices that it was simply unusable. It’s crazy! We had to wait for Apple to show these [...]

I’ve been hard at work on an iPhone Twitter client for the last couple of months in partnership with Martin Dufort at WhereCloud that aims to do something truly different for the Twitter experience. We’re both avid Twitter users and we found that none of the available clients for iPhone were really suited for an [...]

Tonite was the first edition of iPhoneDevCamp, organized by Sylvain Carle from Praized Media and hosted at Station C. For a first edition I didn’t expect that many people. A pre-release of iTunes 7.7 and the iPhone SDK beta 8 are available for download on the iPhone Developer Center. The video of the “Publishing on the App Store” session from WWDC 2008 is also available on the site.

Yesterday nite, I dropped my iPhone on the street and it had a violent encounter with concrete. The phone works fine but the glass is completely broken. I can’t replace the glass part, because it’s glued to the LCD screen. You have to buy the whole unit that cost almost $300. I was about to [...]

I received this email asking me to complete my enrollement to the iPhone Developer Program. I’m in Canada so that means Apple has now agreed to open the program to countries outside US. I had to order the program on the Apple Store for 99$. I don’t know if I’m supposed to receive something by [...]
