Rumoured yesterday, released today, Chrome the new Google browser just hit the street. Introduced with humour by a nice comic, the long awaited browser has made a lot of noise in the tech community.
I’ve been using Chrome all day and I’ve to admit that I like its clean and simple interface; its tab-centered experience; its universal search box; its home page — populated with the sites you visited the most. But that said, it’s just a fucking browser, nothing more.
Google claims Chrome to be super fast, super stable and super safe. Well, fair enough, I guess it’s also in the product requirements of Safari and Firefox.
How Google will use it for its own purpose? What market share will it get? Will it harm Internet Explorer or Firefox? Will it allow users to bypass desktop software in the long run? These are some of the questions raised by the blogsphere today.
We don’t have any answers yet and nothing about Google’s strategy. In the short term, I guess a little more competition is still a good thing.

Hi Fred, thanks for the link.
I haven't tried the browser as yet since the first feedbacks I had in the office are that it is just not stable enough.
However, in terms of documentation the comic is pure genius.

Actually, it's quite stable for me and pretty well done in general, but for now, there is not much added value compared to Firefox to make people change.
That said, you're absolutely right, the comic was a great idea.
