Call me “old school” but I’m going to bring a linklog on this blog.
See, I read tons of articles online and I generally don’t have time to write a deep insight about all of them but some are really worth reading — and sharing.
I used to share my links on Delicious and Twitter but since I want to write a brief commentary with each link, they are not a good place for that. Delicious is more a personal bookmark and adds too much noise to be useful.
I know that people are generally using Facebook or FriendFeed to achieve that, but I still think it’s a mess having to scatter information all over the place. I want it on my blog.
So I’m going to stick to the basics and do something more like the Linked List of Daring Fireball; interweaving links with longer articles.
Now, my implementation is a bit rough, WordPress has a blogroll feature but it’s not exactly what I want. If you know any good way to do it or a good WordPress plugin, I’m interested.

You can try google reader shared items, now it allows you to add a comment with you shared links.
I have the same problem between my blog, google shared items, twitter and frienfeed.

Actually, not everything I read is on my feeds; sometimes I discover an interesting article through a blog I’m subscribed to.
There is no clear answer to that problem; but the links I’m going to post on this blog will be a narrowed selection of links not a river, like with Google Shared Items or Delicious.

I’ve never tried it but this one seemed promissing: http://www.piepalace.ca/blog/projects/miniposts
Personally I like just splitting content using categories, filters and styling one differently.

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the comment. I like your plugin, this is the same idea.
Like you, my “links” are miniposts filled into a specific category I use to change the style. The difference, maybe, is that I didn’t want these posts to be “aside” but within the hierachy of my posts.
I use a custom field to store the link of the minipost.
