I received this email asking me to complete my enrollement to the iPhone Developer Program. I’m in Canada so that means Apple has now agreed to open the program to countries outside US.

I had to order the program on the Apple Store for 99$. I don’t know if I’m supposed to receive something by mail but it says it will be delivered within 8-12 business days.
UPDATE: I’ve finally received an activation key by email for my account; I’m now able to register devices and create apps certificates.

Have you coded something yet? What about a Twittercal port?

I haven’t coded anything usable for now. I don’t think Twittercal would be a good fit for a native app.
To build something interesting that can be worth buying on the App Store, I think it’s important to use the iPhone unique features.
