Twitter is getting more and more popular, but it’s not always easy to explain what it is to people outside the blogging world.

Twitter has hooked people with the “what are you doing?” catch phrase, but for fans (like me) it’s much more than that.
Twitter is definitely the place of choice to get fresh news, follow conferences and industry leaders, share thoughts with your local communities and even meet new people.
When you start using it beyond the simple status update, you will quickly discover what’s Twitter is really all about.
Because Twitter is simple and focused around conversations, I think it has more interest than Facebook.
