I’ve been using Apple’s Leopard for about two months and I’ve been quite happy with it.
Sure, I had my own set of (small) problems but it was nothing dramatic as some users reported — as a rule of thumb, I don’t generally install system level software that can break further upgrades.
Within these two months, Apple released one major upgrade (10.5.1), two security upgrades and one firmware upgrade for MacBook Pros (solving the annoying keyboard issue). These upgrades have fixed most of the gripes I had with the system; it’s now running quite smoothly and I’m using it for about twelve hours per day.
Apple is about to release another major upgrade (10.5.2) due next month that will fix lots of things — especially Stacks. Stacks have been quite useless to me and I’m quite happy with that fix.
I think Apple has done an amazing job in fixing issues as soon as possible and even changing features according to customer feedback.
And you, do you still have major issues with Leopard?

Having 2 Macs connected to my Airport wireless network, 10.5.1 is still a real pain : new ‘Share Screen’ feature really works randomly, and my desktop computer (macmini) shows itself from my laptop (macbook) as a ‘blue-screen PC’ under Finder.. I really look forward that 10.5.2 update planned in january…

Hi Arnaud,
Sorry to hear about that. I have only one Mac at home, but at work, the network sharing works fine and detects PC and Macs without any trouble. I tried to “share screens” once and it worked.
But I suppose an upgrade will be welcomed.

The keyboard issue being the only one hiccup I had to suffer from so far … Hopefully fixed by now!

I finally fixed my problem with ‘Share Screen…’ feature. Problem was VNC connection showed as a Server item in Finder all along the local network. When using 10.4.X, I remember having installed RealVNC Server. I went to /Library/StartupItems and deleted all references of VNC. Tadaaa! This solved my problem : ‘Share Screen…’ now works nicely, and my MacMini desktop-computer does not show anymore as a CRT-icon under Finder. (what a pain….)
