I wasn’t expecting that much about the Apple summer event that took place today but actually, Apple unveiled the biggest upgrades ever!

New iMacs

All rumors were true, the new iMac is here. With its gorgeous thin case, the iMac looks like a big iPhone. Silver on the bottom and black on the top, it comes with a new extra thin laptop keyboard.

I was not a big fan of the previous model but this one is sweet. Configurations goes up to 2.8ghz, up to 1 terabytes of storage and up to 4 gigabytes of RAM.

New iLife ‘08

iLife 08 was expected to be released with Leopard but it’s not. iLife comes with a new version of iPhoto 08 looking like iTunes that helps you to organize photos by events. The app is much more appealing and even easier to use.

iMovie 08 is actually a new application. Apple introduced a feature called “skimming” that makes it so easy to cut and paste parts of your clips. Simply genius.

New iWork ‘08

iWork 08 now comes with Numbers, the long awaited spreadsheet application. As usual, the app is gorgeous and make spreadsheets looks different. iWork can be downloaded for a free 30 days trial. You can also find some great tutorials online.

I can’t wait to try all these new apps and the new iMac as well. Congratulation Apple, you made it once again.
