Yesterday morning, I had the chance to attend the 5th Montreal Tech Entrepreneur Breakfast at Bistro, Etc in Montreal downtown — it’s a monthly gathering of local technology entrepreneurs and enthusiasts initiated by Ben Yoskovitz, co-founder of StandoutJobs.
The startup landscape seems quite small in Montreal compared to other places in US but is growing (according to the success of this meeting). I’ve met very interesting and motivated people with great projects.
I didn’t have the opportunity to talk with everybody but we’ll all have time to know better each other during next events.

hi welcome aboard fred. yes the community is smaller than in the silicon valley, but we are doing things on our scale and there are lots to be proud of. if you came to the next breakfast or to other events, you will meet other tech people in montreal

Well I mean, everybody knows about silicon valley being the place for Internet startups.
As far as Bordeaux is concerned, that’s certainly different here but Bordeaux used to have great innovative high-tech companies.
