It’s funny. Just a while after I was wondering what to do next with BigNumbr, I heard about Swivel, a service for sharing and playing with data.

Actually, we were also thinking about creating the same kind of service out of BigNumbr data: building data sets and creating graphics out of it. The first step of BigNumbr was to be the “Delicious for Data” whereas Swivel started directly as the “YouTube for Data”.

So yes, it’s definitely a good idea to create service to manipulate data. Concerning BigNumbr, I guess we were too shy to create a buzz around it (that’s not easy by the way) and something was always missing — preventing launch.

We all know the rule, an idea worth nothing without proper execution and chances are that someone already had the same idea. As usual, TechCrunch has a good review.
