Two month ago, I introduced BigNumbr, an experimental web 2.0 service to share factoids with numbers. Since we didn’t put lots of efforts on creating a buzz around the service, BigNumbr remained silent and very few people are aware of it.
Building and running it was very instructive. But since I’m in the middle of other projects, I don’t think I will have more time to improve it. So I was thinking, why not giving it for free to the Rails community? Open sourced Rails applications are quite rare and I found that new Railers do lack examples of working apps.
The Rails Way is all about that. They comment and teach how to improve design of existing application in “the right way”. A great initiative, maybe I could donate BigNumbr source code — which is far from perfect.
If somebody find that’s a good idea, please let me know.
