What an achievement! Only 2 years after Rails started, it is already accepted as a mainstream web technology and Apple will ship it with each releases of Mac OS X Leopard.
That’s a great news and actually, I don’t remember any “dynamic” web technologies other than PHP coming to the meanstream so fast.
What does that mean? Sure, Apple support will help Rails to be taken more seriously by companies and hosting services but more important to me: dynamic/agile programming languages will finally be taken more seriously by the industry.
I’ve been an advocate of dynamic programming for a long time. Each little step that make them more widely used, more deployed and more accepted by the industry is a won victory!
