Inkling is a Web 2.0 startup that just launched one month ago. The idea behind Inkling is that you exchange shares in what you believe will happen: the chances that Apple will release a mobile phone in the next 6 months, or the future success of a book.

Inkling behaves like the real stock market but using virtual money, the inkle. It’s really fun to use and a good place to learn trading. But the objective is also to create accurate predictions based on the principle of “the wisdom of crowds”.

For the moment, the only thing you can win is popularity by being the top trader. Their business model is not that clear but I suppose they plan to introduce real money at some point.
