If you looked at your Gmail account recently you’ll noticed some little changes in the sidebar — there is a “chat” entry. Any of your Google Talk conversation can be archived and searched like e-mails. But there is more, Google announced that they will provide a full integration of Instant Messaging within Gmail.

According to their help page, you’ll be able to chat with your contacts right inside your browser without installing any software. Even if it won’t change the world, this is nice and will help more people to get into IM. It’s not yet released and will be available in the coming weeks.

Note that to access the complete beta features of Gmail you have to turn your account to English.
