I finally got a domain name. After spending a couple of month looking after a cool domain, frustrated I went back choosing my own name. The .name TLD was the only one available for my name. Even if not really known, I expect that extension to be more popular in the coming years as standard generic domains became rare — look at the .biz.
Next steps will be to get a good hosting place and to grab a .EU domain.

Update. A couple of month ago, I’ve decided to buy an alias for my site: fredbrunel.com. The .name is not yet popular and I prefer to stick with a classic .com domain name for the moment.
