I finally get my copy of Hackers and Painters from Paul Graham. I didn’t had the time to read it yet and I already know most of the content. But what’s surprising is that the books itself is very different from other books about computing. It looks like a philosophy book. It’s design is excellent and I’ve admit that I’m a big fan of the TeX rendering. Graham said he rewrote most of its essays and added some others.
I also saw on the Joel Spolsky famous site that his next book is coming out in a couple of months and it’s funny to see how popular it is to write books about the philosophy of computing. The cover is really in the same spirit of Hackers and Painters. I really welcome these books. Good time expected!
